The use of fertilizers is of great importance in crops to obtain better outputs in production and thus, be able to sustain with food needs. For this reason, Nestlé Ecuador, through its Cocoa Plan program, and YARA company, an expert in vegetal nutrition, trained 60 farmers in La Unión (Esmeraldas) in nutrition and fertilization in cocoa cultivation. The objective of the workshop was to announce fertilizers benefits, know the condition of the plant according to the color pattern of the leaves, and be able to recognize what it is the difference between fertilize and nourish a cocoa crop.
